30 years performing on stage. 18 years teaching pilates. One mission.

Jessica Abell started dancing at 3 years old in Buffalo. By the time she was 21, she was at Walt Disney World starting a professional dance career. The body that did all of that is the body she still teaches from today, and the reason she teaches the way she does is because pilates is what kept it working.

The performance years

Walt Disney World. Tokyo Disneyland. Royal Olympic Cruises. Nearly 10 years in Las Vegas residencies. The aerial trapeze that quietly introduced her to pilates as a recovery tool. A career that demanded the body show up perfectly, day after day, year after year.

Why pilates

Pilates was the method that kept the body working. Joseph Pilates designed his method specifically for dancers and injured performers, and it shows. After two decades of testing it in the most demanding conditions imaginable, Jessica certified as an instructor in 2008 and has been teaching it every day since.

The studio

Since 2009, Jessica has taught pilates in Buffalo, NY. She works one-on-one and in small groups with students from their teens to their eighties. Women returning from pregnancy, individuals rebuilding muscle and mobility after surgery, athletes with chronic issues, the aging population who need to be able to get off the floor. The breadth of that practice is what built the breadth of the library you'll find here.

Why online, why now

Online subscription pilates means a teacher with over 3 decades of teaching experience can be available to students anywhere, on their schedule, for less than the cost of a single in-person session. It means specialty content, functional fitness and segments dedicated to specific wellness goals to reach the people who need it without geography being a barrier. That's why now.
